OhioTate's fate goes to Big Cat after Ohio State loss

Tate went into Halloween night at the Coliseum knowing exactly what a loss would cost, and still found a way to rank it.

Michigan, the wedding, Christmas, Thanksgiving. In that order. That's the correct order, by the way. The nerves made sense. Julian Sayin hurt his arm against Indiana and is out indefinitely, so No. 2 Ohio State handed the keys to Luke Fahey, a true freshman from Mission Viejo making his first college start about an hour from home. Before kickoff Tate called it the biggest opportunity of Ryan Day's career.

Then the game started and the 2 of them, Tate and DoubleVodkaDon, spent the night saying the same thing over and over: the kid is fine, everyone around him is not. The defense gave up a 3rd and 18 on a run up the middle. The punt coverage was bad. The kicking was bad. Then came 1st and goal from the inch line, and Ohio State came away with a field goal. By halftime Ev had the whole first half summed up in 4 sentences.

Atrocious first half and it really has nothing to do with Fahey. Defense and coaching have been horrific. Losing on the LOS and more redzone malpractice. Absolutely crucial to score coming out of the half.

Hard to argue with them. Ohio State was flagged 10 times and fell behind 27-9 in the rain. Fahey finished 21-of-38 for 260 yards with no picks, which is not a guy who lost you the game. The Buckeyes didn't score a touchdown until 2:16 remained, when Fahey hit Jeremiah Smith from 1 yard out. It was Ohio State's first touchdown at the Coliseum since 1949, and it was way too late to matter.

So the excuse is real, and the bet doesn't care. Barstool's main account was already reminding everybody what was riding on this one while the game was still going.
