Telluride Bush opens year 2 scrims with a new 4
TLDR: Telluride Bush Gaming played its first scrims of year 2 on Monday with ExceedLbX, oJohnnyGian, Aspekttt_ and 5SkiL, and the streamed session was tied 2-2 on maps.

"Year 2 is personal" is a big line for a set of practice matches, but it fits the history. Jerry, Mook and Lil Sas founded the Bush in August 2025 as a Barstool-backed CDL Challengers team, and they documented all of it, from open tryouts to Owner's Meetings to the moment they found out they owned 0% of the team because Dave Portnoy owns the whole thing. The first roster, announced on October 30, 2025, was Capsidal, Prolute, Spart and TJHaLy. None of those names are on the list Jerry posted Monday. ExceedLbX, oJohnnyGian, Aspekttt_ and 5SkiL are the 4 now, so year 2 is starting with a completely new lineup.
The day went the way Bush content always does, out in the open. Jerry went live in the afternoon to watch-party it, the scrims went up on YouTube, and the team called it lobbied up a little after 5pm Eastern. The opponent was a 4-man group of Milly, Mirage, Mack and Hide, and about half an hour in it was even.
Scrims aren't official matches and nobody is handing out points for them. But they're the first real look at whether a new roster gels, and for a team whose entire existence is content, this is the first episode of the new season. Trading maps early with a full squad is a fine place to start. Getting rolled on day 1 after the owner just tweeted 'we're coming for everything' would have been a lot worse.
About 25 minutes later the count was still even, and the stream had dropped at some point before coming back.
That's the last score on file, so nobody should be calling this a win or a loss yet. Next up from the team's side is another Owner's Meeting, which they say is coming later this week with a guest, and that's where Jerry, Mook and Sas usually say what they actually think of the roster. Day 1 ended level with a team that's 4 new faces. Now we see whether 'personal' shows up in the results.
